founder’s message

At the World Humanist Foundation (WHF), our vision is simple yet profound: to nurture individuals and communities who are empowered, resilient, and compassionate. Since our establishment on 1 January 2019, we have committed ourselves to a mission that transcends politics, religion, and profit—focusing solely on human development and well-being.

We firmly believe that a fulfilling life is built on two essential foundations: life skills and mental well-being. When these are cultivated together, they enable individuals—especially adolescents and youth—to grow into responsible, empathetic, and capable human beings, ready to contribute to a society that is inclusive, equitable, and compassionate.

Through our programs, we aim to strengthen practical competencies, foster mental health, and enhance life skills. Our work aligns closely with national priorities, including the National Youth Policy, National Education Policy, and the National Social Protection Strategy, while also advancing the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly health, education, gender equality, decent work, and reduced inequalities.

At WHF, we are guided by evidence-based interventions and community-centered initiatives, ensuring that our efforts are both impactful and sustainable. Our hope is to build a generation equipped with the skills, resilience, and values necessary to shape a just and thriving Bangladesh.

We invite you to join us in this journey, as we work together to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create a brighter, more compassionate future for all.
